This Week in Panels: Week 206
September 1st, 2013 by Gavok | Tags: avengers, injustice, journey into mystery, panels, thor, tmntGreetings. Pretty big week, very Avengers-centric. Well, except for Avengers Arena because we all have some standards. By “we” I mean myself, Matlock, Gaijin Dan, Space Jawa and Dickeye.
Dickeye’s choice for Thor: God of Thunder reminds me that at the end of the month, I’m bringing back another round of This Character in Panels. If you missed out last time, send me a line!

Ah, good to have the Sentry back in some form. I missed the crazy guy.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles absolutely ruled this week, especially because it gave us one of the coolest twists that I did not see coming. Let’s just say that there’s more to Casey Jones’ father than I expected. Plus we get our first looks at a certain boar/rhino duo.
If you’re wondering, it took 33 issues for Superman to finally go off the deep end in Injustice. I have to imagine the series is winding down by now, since they’re running out of stuff to cover that was alluded to in the game. They had Joker blow up Metropolis and trick Superman into killing Lois. They had Superman kill him. They had Damian kill Nightwing (which was accidental, despite what the game led us to believe). The more powerful superheroes capable of stopping Superman have been taken off the table. Green Arrow’s been beaten to death by a furious Superman, which was better done than I expected. Batman has his hands on Superman’s special super pill. I guess all that’s left is for Catwoman to betray Batman and for Hal Jordan to join the Sinestro Corps.
Now how about we rock out to ten minutes of video game covers?
Aw, I was hoping you’d include the “PRIMUS HATES YOU.” panel from More Than Meets The Eye.

Btw, Gavok, if you’re following this convo, I tweeted something to you that will be a waste of time if you, as expected, already heard of it…but it may be epic if you had not.
