This Week in Panels: Week 182

March 17th, 2013 by | Tags: , ,

Yo hey yo hey!

Welcome to ThWiP. It’s a great day for me as after seven and a half years, I’ve finally parted ways with Barnes and Noble, moving away from the retail world. I had some good times there, but it feels nice to move forward.

This week I have panels from Gaijin Dan, Was Taters, Jody (my now-former coworker), Matlock and Space Jawa. Taters kind of hated both Batman comics from this week, so she chose those panels for the sake of sabotage. Makes sense. Both are about Batman dealing with the loss of Damian, which interferes with Taters dancing on his grave.

So we’re down to one more issue of Before Watchmen, right? Ozymandias was really what everybody feared when it was announced. Other than the nice art, it’s nothing but background for stuff we never needed to hear about. Unlike Silk Spectre and Minute Men, there’s no actual story in there. It’s just a lame documentary in comic form.

I realize I don’t care much about the upcoming Mega Man/Sonic team-up, but I DO care about the upcoming Dr. Wily/Dr. Robotnik team-up. I have for 20 years.

Doomsday’s super move from Injustice: Gods Among Us is the most ridiculous thing I’ve seen all week. I love it.

  1. Man those Batman books were not up to snuff.

  2. That panel where Batman is shouting at Harper … that needs to become a demotivational poster. Anyone want to take a crack at it? Here’s all I’m coming up with:

MOMENTS OF CLARITY: write them down for later

CHILD ENDANGERMENT: not just a bad idea, also against the law

  3. There’s an upcoming Sonic/Mega Man // Dr. Wily/Dr. Robotnik comic team-up coming? O___O

  4. See that One Piece panel? You know what the Straw Hat crew calls that? Wednesday. Doesn’t explain Franky’s hairstyle, though . . . however, I dig the shirt.

  5. That Doomsday clip is OMFG fun to watch.

  7. @Jeabus: I’ve been wanting to get into VGCW, but I keep missing the shows.
