All-Star Preview

February 25th, 2008 by | Tags: ,

So, yeah, a lot of people don’t like All-Star Batman & Robin, the Boy Wonder. However, I want all of you to read this preview here.

Back? Tell me that isn’t brilliant. Batman having Robin paint an entire safehouse yellow, plus himself, and drinking lemonade while dissing Green Lantern? I think the best bit is Robin catching the glass of lemonade. Actually, no. This is the best bit.

“This is not Dick Grayson.”

I love it. Batman is awesome.

I’ve got one more Wondercon post to make, but I’m wiped after the con, plus I’ve got some freelance writing to finish up. Sounds fun! (Not really.) Tomorrow.

  1. I’ve gotta say, I wasn’t sold on All-Star Batman before … but that preview just crosses so many levels of nuttiness that it’s impossible not to love.

  2. So when does the awesome part of ASBAR happen in that preview?

  3. Yellow, huh? Sometimes it feels good to be completely ignorant to the DC universe. As if Marvel didn’t give me enough reasons to be embarrassed for reading comic books.

Man… Yellow… I think you’ve just sold me on All-Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder.
I need to read more of this kooky stuff!

(the bit with Robin catching the glass and filling it in the background gets my vote)

  5. Whose banister do I have to polish to get a bloody ASB&R trade?

  6. I was pretty anti-ASBAR until the last issue (The Joker cover), when it seemed to all come together for me and I started to understand where Miller seemed to be going with all the ridiculous crap.

I can’t wait for this upcoming issue.

  7. It’s not really anything that some fantard couldn’t think up (and probably did).

  8. I Love ASB$RTBW i liek how this batman has this insane sense of humor

  9. This is exactly like a joke I used to make when I was fifteen. If I was still fifteen, I’d probably like this.
