This Week in Panels: Week 215
November 4th, 2013 by Gavok | Tags: panels, tmntI don’t know. Just seemed weird that Invincible and Saga would have generational arm-wrestling matches weeks apart.
This week I’m joined by Gaijin Dan and Space Jawa. Jawa and I both realize that the world is now better for having Bebop and Rocksteady fully join the cast of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic.
I know I’ve probably said this before, but I really wish DC would just give Ostrander an ongoing for the Others from Aquaman. It would only last a few issues before being cancelled, but I’d read the hell out of it. Besides, it has diversity and stuff without running into the legacy quagmire that’s been shooting them in the foot.
Plus the Prisoner-of-War is one of my favorite things about the New 52 and I want to see more of him.

NOOOO! Not 5 Ronin Deadpool! He was my favorite alternate universe take on the character! Man, it was bad enough we lost the one from Deadpool Pulp…
Now for some rather unsettling footage. We’ve heard about professional wrestlers dying and even killing, but I never thought I’d see such a thing INSIDE THE RING.
Poor Dragon Dragon.
That Avatar panel, all I can think when I read Azula’s dialogue is, “Yeah, pretty much.”
Yes, Hal, you did tell Kyle to do that. You also told Guy to join the Red Lanterns. Does that seem like a good idea now? What idiot had the bright idea to put Hal Jordan in charge? I wouldn’t entrust him with a potato, let alone an interplanetary police force/army.
by CalvinPitt November 4th, 2013 at 13:09 --replyI peeked through the GL annual. Were Kyle and Carol a couple before Kyle “died”? BTW, I’d junk New Guardians and give Kyle and Simon Baz their own book. Basically, it’d be Training Day, only lighter and without PCP. Oh, and Kyle is a “regular” Green Lantern. Why does he have to be a demigod? (re: White Lantern, Ion)
Is that Mt. Ninjmore in the Hidden Leaf Village? I can’t seem to find Lady Tsunade’s portrait. Or did something happen between now and when Disney XD stopped running Shippuden?
by Jason November 4th, 2013 at 13:21 --reply@CalvinPitt: I kind of like that now that Johns is off the book, Hal is allowed to be shown as a total nimrod in regards to the Corps.
@Jason: Kyle and Carol weren’t so much a couple as they’ve worked together a lot and they’ve connected really well. Carol’s just starting to realize that she’s tethered to him emotionally and what that means.
And Kyle has to be a demigod so DC doesn’t let him get lost in the shuffle like every other replacement hero who is no longer a replacement. If they don’t build him up like that, he’d be hanging out with Wally West.
by Gavok November 4th, 2013 at 17:46 --replyPicked up Young Avengers and I couldn’t believe it, a current Marvel/DC comic that isn’t complete and total shit on one side or the other. Might actually start buying it.
by Dabe Davies November 4th, 2013 at 18:33 --reply@Jason: It’s a fantasy. Basically, fighting Naruto is making Obito remember his dream of being Hokage, no matter how much he tries to convince himself he abandoned it.

Couldn’t find your email, I’m still reading your long fighting game endings articles, great stuff. I also wanted to say thanks for linking to my site, which barely anyone does. Another thing, you know that Street Fighter 1 was released for the PC Engine CD, right? Well, the game actually has an extra ending when you beat the game 4 times where it shows your character returning from his plane ride. I think that ending is exclusive to the PCE CD version.

by Gavok November 5th, 2013 at 18:37 --replyLMAO. Yeah, I still have many more stuff to post.
