I have a review of a comic about a certain late-80’s/early-90’s animated series almost finished. In the meantime, here’s a segment from it that I couldn’t find a spot for in the article.
How did a shitty cartoon turn into a surprisingly good comic series? Check back in a day or so.

Haven’t watched the cartoon since I was a kid, but was it actually all that shitty?
by versasovantare January 8th, 2010 at 04:01 --replyIf not shitty already, it took a massive dump around the time they introduced the Game Boy character.
Also, where’d Uranos come from? Was blue King Hipppo on exchange with the Greek titans? Does the comic feature Captain N cutting off Uranos’s genitalia and throwing them into the sea, thereby creating Venus?
by Liquidben January 8th, 2010 at 10:43 --replyI never actually watched Captain N but, uh… how ’bout Joan Rivers as Mother Brain, huh?
by Jordan January 8th, 2010 at 11:44 --reply@Liquidben: Uranos is from Kid Icarus. I’ll go into more detail in the review. King Hippo is still there.
by Gavok January 8th, 2010 at 18:11 --replyI tried to watch Captain N again a couple years ago but…hoo boy. I couldn’t even watch it and have dumb fun like watching the Legend of Zelda or Mario Bros cartoons, it was just bad, bad, bad. Couldn’t even get through the first episode.
I vaguely remember there being a comic, but I never read it, and you say it’s good? Huh.
by Schide January 8th, 2010 at 21:22 --replyMy parents bought me a hardcover collection of the comics when I was eight years old. I didn’t even know there was a TV series. I haven’t read them in years, but I have really fond memories of them.
