This Week in Panels: Week 266
October 26th, 2014 by Space Jawa | Tags: avengers, AXIS, Edge of Spider-Verse, manga, Multiversity, Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesAnd we’re back with another WEEK IN PANELS!
Feel free to insert your own Kermit ‘yay’ gif here.
Joining me this week are Gaijin Dan, Matlock, AnarChris, and – after an unplanned two week hiatus – Gavok! And in addition to returning, he also matched up panels with Matlock on not one, but two different comics this week. And then AnarChris matched up a panel with Matlock, too.
It’s always fun to see that happen and find out which comics have that one golden panel that really tells you what it’s all about.

Ya know, despite both me and Matlock picking panels from Amazing Spider-Man these past few issues, I feel like we’re actually picking panels from different comic entirely since while he’s been picking panels from the main story I’ve merely been reading the series for the Spider-Verse related B story. I’m mostly been skipping the ‘meat’ of the comic, if you will, because I really only care about it for the Spider-Verse stuff.
But as far I can tell it’s really hard to pick a panel from one side or the other that really sums up the entire issue as a whole. Matlock can feel free to object to that statement if he’d like, though.
The book, mind you, not the movie, and funny enough in spite of it’s extremely short run time it still feels like a more faithful adaptation of JRR Tolkin’s work than the unnecessarily long 3-part epic that someone decided it would be a good idea to turn The Hobbit into. Really, the book had no business being stretched across more than two movie, at the absolute maximum.
Especially since we already have a pretty good animated adaptation that managed to tell the whole story in one.
Haha wow, is that the Darkhold dwarf
