This Week in Panels: Week 110 and 111
November 6th, 2011 by Gavok | Tags: panelsNature forced me to take last week off, so like usual, I just merge last week’s missing update with this week. Probably wasn’t the best plan, since between myself, David Brothers, Was Taters and Space Jawa, we have a total of 55 panels. Great Zampano, that’s hefty!
Space Jawa, by the way, has ended up convincing me to check out the new Ninja Turtles series. The first issue is a bit shaky, but the rest of it has my attention. Especially digging the different origin that goes a long way in explaining why Raphael is the grittier and less refined of the team.
And away we go.

I was going to write up a big thing comparing Irredeemable to its sister series Incorruptible, but I figure I’d wait a month so both series can wrap up their current arcs. The gist of them is that Irredeemable strings me along because I trust Mark Waid enough to think he knows what he’s doing. Incorruptible is the thing that makes me trust him. The latest issue of which is completely rad and I can’t suggest it enough.
Meanwhile, I think that may have been the worst issue of The Goon. Yikes.
Now here’s something awesome.
Muppets on RAW… Wow. haha
Makes me almost wish I was still watching wrestling. :negativeman:
I’m kinda twisted on wanting to play as military venom and anti-venom in UMVC
Completely agree with you on Irredeemable/Incorruptible.
Hey, the Violet Lanterns are wearing something approaching clothing now. That’s new.
@Joe H: Well, except for the segments with the Muppets, that RAW was pretty bad. And I’m sure you could find the rest of those on Youtube if you wanted.
When I read that “nature forced [you] to take a week off,” my first thought was, “Man, a week is a really long time to spend going to the bathroom.”
Glad to have you back! And I hope everything came out all right…in the end…er…
…I’ll see myself out.
@Dave: How else was I going to read all these comics?
