In particular, Common felt it was a special privilege to be the cast’s only black super.

Yeah, I’m a white Scottish boy, but the big cross-cultural appeal for hip-hop was like “these guys RULE, and also like comics”; new Pharoah Monche has a couple – “other MCs can’t see me like Matt Murdock” and “Robbin’ ’em/like Dick Grayson”. They’re like special dork-tingle bits for me. (The Monche is really good, btw)
