And Suddenly I Feel Returning Interest in Green Arrow/Black Canary

Skipping to the last page of this month’s Green Arrow/Black Canary, I suddenly caught myself humming a song and thinking:
My sidekick’s back and you’re gonna be in trouble,
Hey laa! Hey, laaa, my sidekick’s BACK!
Speedy has returned, as has my interest in the book. The spark of interest that was ground out under the heel of needless angst and endless, tired marital sniping, flared up again.
Look! There’s a part of the hero’s team! She’s back! She’s not yelling at anyone or making annoying arguments about how a bunch of people who have killed in the past are ‘getting too dark,’ as evidenced that they’re not saddened by a supervillain’s death. She seems to be happy!
I hope they pursue this strange, new phenomenon of people enjoying being superheroes. It’ll be nice to read.

Aww c’mon, who the hell wants to read about that?
